Purpose of Position:

The Web Designer will help create marketing assets across multiple channels that encompass our overall brand and style according to the Sportsman’s Warehouse brand guidelines. The Web Designer will work closely with the Marketing team to create digitally, as well as hands on, all visual elements used in brands marketing strategies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative and engaging marketing materials for print media, web, email, billboards, and social media
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of webpages
  • Assist in the coordinating of marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Understand and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Prepare layouts, designs, art work and formats for use in publication and /or exhibition
  • Create mock ups to show visual representation of design proposals
  • Design and produce graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report covers
  • Organize copy flow and maintain database of all references used in creation of published materials
  • Locate assets to use in creative design using stock image sources, company databases, and outside vendors
  • Assist with copyright, reprint, and permission processes
  • Assist with coordinating relationships with vendors; preparing specifications and obtaining estimates for final approval
  • Understand the use of visual imagery to communicate ideas and can translate concepts into creative assets to capture consumer’s interest
  • All other duties as assigned



  • Front-end coding experience (HTML, CSS and Javascript)
  • Must have experience with responsive web design and UI frameworks that incorporate strong grid principles, such as Bootstrap
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.) is required
  • Must be proficient using Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Acrobat)
  • Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating quality design, strong creativity and artistic skill set
  • Must be an expert in photo editing, touchup, and manipulation
  • Skilled in typography, color theory, grammar and spelling
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills, must be able to present ideas and communicate thought process behind design
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review designs and catch errors before production
  • Must have the ability to understand and adhere to brand guidelines and corporate style
  • Must have the ability to handle large workloads and tight deadlines on projects
  • Must have knowledge of printing industry methods including print materials, paper types, and pre-press with familiarity delivering print ready products to the printer
  • Time management skills and the ability to produce quality work efficiently
  • Must be able to positively take direction and receive feedback
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work individually and as a team
  • Ability to understand customer perceptions and design for multiple audiences



  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field required
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience, in a corporate setting and in the outdoor, hunting and fishing industry is strongly preferred

Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)
