Purpose of Position:

The Regional Marketing Coordinator will stay abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjust plans accordingly.  They will create regional program strategies, and develop and deliver marketing programs that directly support company growth targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact between stores and corporate marketing
  • Assist stores with local marketing efforts and coordinate corporate support
  • Order and procure printed materials for in-store signage, trade shows, and in-store events
  • Organize, communicate, and execute chain-wide events and promotions
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with various departments including Information Technology, Merchandising, Buyers, Store Operations, Distribution Center, etc.
  • Research marketing opportunities in new markets
  • Organize, set up, and attend various events and trade shows
  • Organize vendor participation and local advertising for store events and new store grand openings
  • Prepare and submit invoices for payment
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Advertising, Public Relations, Social Media, and Promotions agencies to develop retail specific campaigns and launches
  • Experience with in-store marketing including windows, fixtures, permanent and soft graphics
  • Experience working with print shops and graphic designers to develop marketing materials
  • Familiarity with the Gift Card industry, programs, promotions, vendors, and capabilities
  • Outdoor industry retail store experience preferred
  • Experience planning and coordinating events

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience related to brand, retail, event marketing, field marketing, and/or marketing communications required, preferably in the outdoor industry

  • This position is considered sedentary and involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and stoop/kneel to handle computer equipment
  • The employee may be required to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)

Travel Requirements:

This position requires regular travel, up to 25%.
