Purpose of Position:

Responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up merchandise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up merchandise from local Sportsman’s Warehouse stores, Corporate office, and area vendors.
• Work closely with all other departments within warehouse, as well as the Transportation department.
• Exhibit a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Safely and efficiently load / unload truck.
• Follow daily route plan and communicate necessary adjustments / changes to manager.
• Fill out daily driver logs completely and accurately.
• Performs daily housekeeping duties to inside and outside of company vehicles.
• Notify manager of any mechanical issues or needed repairs to vehicles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned, including palletizing, wrapping, loading and x-dock.
• Required Skills: Have the ability to use RF devices, computers and basic math skills.
• Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform job functions.
• Education and Training: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Physical Requirements: This position involves a variety of physical activities including: talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. The Shipping Driver must be able to lift 50 lbs. Visual acuity is required for inventory stocking, report analysis, and driving.
• Environmental Factors: Loud at times, Dusty, Cold in the winter, hot in the summer. The operation of, or work near the operation of motorized handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, conveyor controls, pallet turn tables, elevated dock doors, etc.
• Travel Requirements:
  This position requires daily travel along Wasatch Front.
