Purpose of Position:
The Maintenance Technician provides repairs and maintenance for facility and warehouse
equipment. The Maintenance Technician is involved with diagnosing problems and preparing
records and reports for all maintenance activity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of facility and production machines
• Prepare records and reports for maintenance activity
• Provide scheduled and/or emergency repairs of production equipment
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,
hydraulics, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
• Basic welding skills
• 12, 24, and 48-volt electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of mechanical methods, materials, tools, and techniques
• Problem solving skills and multi-tasking abilities
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• A minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience required

• This position is considered active. While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a
computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install/move computer and
warehouse equipment
• The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds at any given time. The employee
may be required to constantly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including
the human body. Involves walking or standing for long periods of time
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to
work on computers and other devices
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a loud noise level
(i.e. forklifts, semi-trucks, pallet jacks, conveyor belts, moving boxes, business office
with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic, etc.) The work environment is loud at
times, dusty at times, and the indoor temperature fluctuates by season
• The employee will operate and/or work near motorized handling equipment such as
forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, conveyor controls, pallet turn
tables, elevated dock doors, etc.
