Purpose of Position:
Job responsibilities include:
Changing all Batteries for all departments.
Prepare records and reports. Track the hourly meter of equipment used when the battery is put in and taken out. Reporting all battery damage
Provide preventative maintenance of batteries.
Fill batteries as needed. Equalize batteries as needed.
Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Clean batteries as needed using the proper tools.
General housekeeping duties for the warehouse.
Anything deemed necessary by Sportsman’s Warehouse and its Management.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of battery changing equipment
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.
Safety practices and procedures.
Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Abide by company policies;
Have a great attitude
Problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task.
Have great communication skills
Available to work overtime as needed.
Be able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Must be self-motivated and have a high standard of work ethic and quality.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment is a must. Strong attention to detail is a must. Previous forklift and other material-handling experience is required.

Required Skills
Must possess excellent communication skills, follow oral and written instructions, and possess the ability to lead and motivate others.
Physical Requirements
This position involves a variety of physical activities including: talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Visual acuity is required for inventory stocking and report analysis.
Environmental Factors:
Loud at times
Dusty at times
Indoor temperatures will fluctuate by season – may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
The operation of, or work near the operation of motorized handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, conveyor controls, pallet turn tables, elevated dock doors, etc.
