Purpose of Position:
The Loss Prevention Agent works within a team environment and is required to assist in the
detention of employees and contracted vendors for theft, fraud, or combative situations. The
Loss Prevention Agent observes cameras at length while protecting the company’s assets.
The Loss Prevention Agent maintains a strong loss prevention and safety culture in the
warehouse to reduce losses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with detention of employees and serve as witness during theft interview processes
- Record apprehensions and accidents in the Loss Prevention Management System software
- Review past and present CCTV footage looking for suspicious activity and then documenting and forwarding that information
- Maintain trailer and shipment security through the use of strictly monitored seal verification program
- Assist with the safety program using observation as well as utilizing the CCTV system
- Daily walks of the Distribution Center to ensure policies are followed, the building is secure, and to look for areas of theft and/or damage
- Act as liaison for all persons entering the warehouse
- Assist with enforcing access to the warehouse by authorized and unauthorized personnel
- Assist with metal detector procedures and handle all metal detector violations
- Maintain a close working relationship with DC Management
- All other duties as assigned
