Description

Purpose of Position:

The National Field Merchandising Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of their respective departments across the company. To include, but not limited to, operational point of contact between Regional Merchandising Managers and the Corporate Office, training, ensure merchandising uniformity, and inventory accuracy. They will help design directives from the Corporate Office to increase the customer experience and overall sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage a 52 week end cap program coordinating with Marketing and Merchants
  • Strategizing displays and branding of store promotions and events for increasing sales of the store
  • Changing displays in accordance with the season, market trends and festivities
  • Keep track of the purchasing trends of customers and strategizing presentations accordingly
  • Update department head training manuals in coordination with store operations
  • Oversee cycle count schedule and accuracy in all locations
  • New store merchandising design
  • Regional merchandising by department
  • Design and implement picture book program for all departments by Region and unique store footprint
  • Analytic review of stores by department to determine under performing areas and possible opportunities
  • Store Level Communication – implement program for the communication flow between stores, Field Managers and Merchants
  • Manage the markdown process and the price change process
  • Design program for local product review requests
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Must possess a strong retail background with excellent communication skills and organizational skills
  • A complete understanding of all aspects of store operations 
  • Ability to multi task
  • Basic knowledge of several Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines 
  • Must be highly motivated with ability to work with little to no supervision

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred 
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a retail department manager in a similar discipline required

Travel Requirements:

This position requires travel.
