Description

Purpose of Position:

The Manager of eCommerce Systems partners with the eCommerce business leaders and the IT Product Manager to plan, implement, and operate the technology required to support business strategies.  Leading a team of eCommerce employees as well as third-party contractors, the Manager of eCommerce Systems will oversee a vendor cloud hosted platform, various third-party services, and the integration of those systems to many back-end, enterprise systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all eCommerce development and support teams, systems development and operations matters
  • Oversee the planning and execution of various enterprise applications and system implementations, delivering on-time and on-budget
  • Foster innovation within the organization to create new solutions that enable business results and improve effectiveness of eCommerce solution delivery
  • Partner with the eCommerce Business Leader and IT Product Manager to identify process deficiencies, obtain requirements to meet their needs and automate processes and procedures leveraging our eCommerce platforms
  • Design and develop integration and interface capabilities to support new customer-facing applications
  • Maintain full application life-cycle management from initial assessment through ensuring business and technical aspects of the application are delivered to drive efficiency and value for the business
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with key vendor and consulting partners to ensure efficient delivery of services in support of objectives
  • Develop and manage an eCommerce systems and platform roadmap
  • Ensure operational effectiveness in performance, uptime, release management, storage and security for all supported systems
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in all phases of solution delivery including business analysis, software engineering, quality assurance/testing, performance tuning, and operations
  • Experience with SAP Hybris/Commerce Cloud  – release 6.6 and later
    • Architecture
    • Cockpits
    • ImpEX
  • J2EE
  • Data integration using technologies such as SOAP/REST/JSON
  • HTML 5.0 responsive web design and development
  • SAP Hybris Solr Search and Indexing
  • Agile Methodology and tools (Jira experience)
  • Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Proven knowledge of code repositories, branching and deployment strategies and best practices
  • A keen interest in emerging technologies and how they might impact future design decisions and strategic directions

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or relevant field required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application development and/or data analysis required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical managers required
  • Previous experience in a retail business environment strongly preferred

Travel Requirements:

This position may require some travel.
